The South African Council for Educators (SACE) has officially opened applications for its 2026 Internship Programme, offering unemployed graduates and students requiring experiential training an opportunity to gain valuable workplace experience within one of South Africa’s key professional education bodies.

The programme will run for 18 months and is designed to provide practical exposure, professional development and workplace skills that can improve future employment prospects. Successful candidates will be placed at the SACE Head Office in Centurion or selected provincial offices across South Africa, depending on the position applied for.

With monthly stipends of up to R7,500, the SACE Internship Programme presents an excellent opportunity for graduates seeking to launch their careers in fields such as Communications, Human Resources, Finance, ICT, Legal Services, Public Management and Internal Auditing.

About the SACE Internship Programme 2026

Monthly Internship Stipends

Successful interns will receive monthly stipends based on their qualification level.

NQF Level 6

  • Monthly Stipend: R5,000

NQF Level 7

  • Monthly Stipend: R6,500

NQF Level 8

  • Monthly Stipend: R7,500

Who Can Apply?

To be considered for the SACE Internship Programme, applicants must meet the following requirements:
