Teraoka is the sole distributor of Teraoka/DIGI Weighing Systems and Anritsu Inspection Systems in Southern Africa as well as a proud Honeywell Service Partner. Teraoka services both the domestic and international sectors (African Countries) through its network of 10 Sales and Service branches strategically placed country wide as well as a broad Distributor channel. A comprehensive support structure consisting of a 24Hr Help Desk, Research & Development, National Stores (warehouse) and Administration is housed at the Headquarters to assist the branches is supporting our customers. Teraoka also has a large Label Manufacturing Plant that produces Self Adhesive Label Rolls to be used on our Electronic Scale Printers, Thermal Label Printers as well as other applicators for various other applications. This compliments and adds value to our initial equipment sale and ensures repeat consumable business. We are also capable of producing various customized “Full Colour” Labels. Teraoka South Africa has a total staff compliment of approximately 300 people.
We are seeking dedicated and skilled Service Technicians to perform service calls, installations, label deliveries, and cheque collections within the designated geographical area of the branch. The successful candidate will also be responsible for implementing and adhering to the SABS Quality Procedures on a daily basis.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Conduct repairs and maintenance based on calls logged in the system.
- Serve as the appointed Verification Officer, ensuring scales are verified and sealed in compliance with the SABS Quality System.
- Order necessary spare parts through the Service Manager and carry out equipment repairs.
- Install relevant software and ensure new site equipment functions correctly.
- Maintain Service Level Agreements with corporate clients to uphold high service standards.

Desired Experience & Qualification:
- Education: Grade 12 with Mathematics and Physical Science or N3 with Mathematics and Physical Science.
- Age Requirement: 18 – 28 years old.
- License: Valid driver’s license and access to a personal vehicle (mandatory).
- Experience: Prior technical experience is required.
