In addition, we help healthcare practitioners find good calibre, highly skilled support staff, from receptionists, administration and accounts staff to sales representatives, practice and marketing managers.

A specialist practice based in Parkview, Johannesburg, is seeking to recruit a well-presented medical receptionist for 3 months from March 2025.

Reception:

  • Answering of all calls in a professional, courteous and efficient manner
  • Take messages and ensure they are actioned by relevant person
  • Manage electronic diary
  • Remind patients with SMS and a follow-up call of their appointments
  • Preparing all files for the doctor two days in advance
  • Welcome patients arriving in a friendly and professional manner, communicate time delays to manage client expectations.
  • Check that all patient details on file are still up to date and obtain new details if relevant.
  • Open accounts and capture all relevant information accurately on system for new patients.
  • Assist with contacting other doctors to obtain notes and referral letters if needed for a patients visit.
  • Assist with obtaining patient results and related correspondence (lab results, radiology etc).
  • Issue invoices and receipts
  • Take credit card payments
  • Filing

Qualification and Requirements:

  • Matric
  • At least 2-5 years’ experience in a similar medical receptionist position
  • Computer literate (Elixir Live would be an added advantage)
  • MS Office

Working hours:

Monday to Friday, 08h00 – 17h00

Start Date:
