Mitsubishi Power Africa is offering two exciting bursary opportunities for South African students and employees to support their academic and career aspirations.

Types of Bursaries

  1. External Bursary
    Open to students who are NOT employees of Mitsubishi Power. This bursary is for undergraduate studies in the following fields:

    • Contract Management / Law (LLB)
    • Cost and Management Accounting
    • Engineering & Related Design (FET)
    • Finance / Financial Management
    • Human Resource Management
    • Mechanical Engineering
    • Mechanical Engineering: Fitting (FET)
    • Mechatronics (FET)
    • Purchasing / Supply Chain Management
    • Quality Management
  2. Internal Bursary
    Open to Mitsubishi Power employees, this bursary supports postgraduate studies in the following fields:

    • Construction & Project Management
    • Contract Management / Law (LLB)
    • Cost and Management Accounting
    • Engineering
    • Finance / Financial Management
    • Human Resource Management
    • Purchasing / Supply Chain Management
    • Quality Management

Bursary Coverage

  • External Bursary: Tuition fees, books, accommodation, and meals.
  • Internal Bursary: Tuition fees and books.

Shortlisted candidates will be contacted within 6 weeks of the closing date. If no feedback is received, consider the application unsuccessful.

Eligibility Requirements

External Bursary

  • Must be a South African citizen under 22 years old.
  • Currently in Matric or completed Matric.
  • Studying or planning to study full-time towards an undergraduate qualification in the listed fields.
  • Enrolled or intending to enroll at a recognised tertiary institution in South Africa.
  • Strong academic record:
    • Minimum 80% for major subjects.
    • Overall average of 65%.
  • Preference for candidates from previously disadvantaged backgrounds or living with disabilities.

Internal Bursary

  • Must be a South African citizen and Mitsubishi Power Africa employee.
  • Currently studying or intending to study towards a postgraduate qualification in the listed fields.
  • Qualification must align with the current job function and development plan.
  • Endorsement from Line Manager is required.
  • Good academic record with a minimum overall average of 60%.

  • Curriculum Vitae (CV).
  • Motivational letter.
