We are currently seeking a passionate and experienced Maintenance Supervisor, to join the team of Pestana Kruger Lodge – South Africa.
The Pestana Hotel Group is the largest Portuguese hotel group with more than 100 hotels in 16 countries across three continents.
Key Responsibilities:
- The physical building structure, all mechanical, electrical, HVAC systems and related equipment are in accordance with energy conservation and preventative maintenance programs.
- Ensuring all systems operate to regulatory standards, all property assets are constantly maintained to the highest level and all legally mandated safety operating systems/criteria are adhered to by all.
- Accountable for managing budgets, capital expenditure projects, preventative maintenance and energy conservation.
- Additional responsibilities include training, mentoring and the development of the engineering team, scheduling of employees, directing and coordinating all engineering activities to ensure efficient management of engineering/hotel operations.
- Will report to General Manager and advise him when specialist intervention is required.
Key Requirements:
- Minimum 5 years’ experience at a Maintenance Manager level or facilities engineer in a Hospitality related environment.
- Vocational certificate or diploma in electronics or technical studies, or degree in hotel maintenance
- Extensive knowledge of plumbing, painting, electrical, HVAC, refrigeration, and safety operating systems.
- Hands-on approach
- Fluent in English
