Job Description

Old Mutual Insure is looking for Claims Negotiator in the Non Motor space . The role will be responsible for Non-motor end-to-end claims. The role provides quality claims negotiating outcomes for the Claims function through effective and efficient claims negotiations and finalization.

You Would

  • Capture/register claim
  • Validation of claims in line with checklist and SOP’s
  • Answer telephone and email queries from all the stakeholders
  • Analyse claim and confirm cover
  • Draft rejection letter if claim rejected
  • Request and analyze policy and related documentation
  • Appoint assessors and investigators, if required
  • Processing payments within the turn-around time
  • Complaints handling and resolution
  • Liaising with Service Providers

Minimum Requirements: Skills , Experience and Qualifications

  • Matric
  • Tertiary Degree/Diploma will be advantageous
  • Higher Certificate in Short Term Insurance NQF 5 or NQF 4 – highly advantageous
  • 2 – 3 years relevant work experience in claims validation and settlement
  • Computer literate
  • Good application of mathematics, logical sequencing & pattern recognition
  • Claims investigation skills and attention to details.

The Recruitment process:

  • TA Interview: This will be a discussion with a member of the TA Team to give you an understanding of our business, our culture & values and more context on the role. It will also allow up the opportunity to get to know you a little better, and ensure OMI can meet your needs
  • Panel Interview: This will be with 2 members of the senior leadership of the data team and 1 member of the HC leadership team
  • Technical & Psychometric Assessments: These will depend on the role and will sometimes happen concurrently with MIE & Internal Verification
