Website Railway Safety Regulator (RSR)
RSR was established in terms of the National Railway Safety Regulator Act, No 16 of 2002 (“the Act”) as amended, to establish a national regulatory framework for South Africa and to monitor and enforce compliance in the rail sector. The primary legislative mandate of the RSR is to oversee and enforce safety performance by all railway operators in South Africa, including those of neighbouring States whose rail operations enter South Africa.
The Railway Safety Regulator (RSR) invites unemployed South African graduates from Institutions of Higher Learning who have completed their qualifications and have not yet gained work experience related to their field of study to apply for its 24-month Internship Programme, at the RSR’s Head Office in Midrand, Waterfall.
