Artisan Learnerships is a structured, occupationally directed programme that leads to a qualification registered on the National Qualifications Framework and is trade related.

The Accredited Learnership Programme covers Knowledge, Practical and Work-based Learning.

A trade is a job that requires an artisan qualification. An artisan is officially certified to perform a specific trade under the law/ legislation.

The following Learnership opportunities are available to applicants interested in pursuing a career in the following trades:

  • Diesel Mechanic
  • Boilermaker
  • Millwright

Requirements:

  • South African citizen (targeted at unemployed Youth)
  • Successfully completed:
  1. Grade 12 with Mathematics (Core Mathematics) and Physical Science
  2. Or Technical Matric (Trade related theory)
  3. Or Grade 12 with N3 Mathematics and N3 Engineering Science
  • South African Driver ’s License is advantageous
  • Must NOT be registered on an active Learnership or Apprenticeship funded by a SETA or privately.
