The Moses Kotane Research Institute (MKRI) is currently seeking dedicated and motivated Research Data Collectors to join their team in an ad-hoc capacity. This exciting opportunity is aimed at unemployed graduates in KwaZulu-Natal (KZN), offering a chance to sharpen research and data collection skills while contributing to valuable evidence-based research that supports the provincial economy. The successful candidates will be involved in gathering data across various municipalities within KZN, providing an excellent platform for professional growth. Position: Research Data Collectors (Ad-Hoc)

Remuneration: R350 per day
Contract: 3-year ad-hoc fixed-term
Minimum Requirements:
- Qualification: Valid tertiary qualification (NQF 6 – NQF 8). NQF 8 qualification is an added advantage.
- Computer Literacy.
- Own Mobile Device (working smartphone).
- Communication Skills: Proficient in both English and IsiZulu.
- Driver’s License: Code 08/10 (3+ years), independent driving ability is a plus.
- Experience: Previous data collection experience is an added advantage.
Responsibilities:
- Assist with door-to-door data collection following specific procedures.
- Collect data via surveys, personal and telephonic interviews.
- Capture data in MKRI’s prescribed format.
- Maintain high data quality standards.
- Adhere to ethical and professional standards in the data collection process.
