Assistant Electrician (x2 Positions)

Salary: T8 (R225,629.76 – R292,851.84 per annum) – plus municipal benefits
Minimum Requirements
- National Certificate in Electrical Engineering or equivalent electrical qualification
- 3–5 years’ relevant experience in electrical installation, maintenance, or repairs
- Valid Code B (or higher) driver’s license
- Computer literacy
- Ability to work independently and supervise general workers
Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Assist with installations, repairs, and maintenance of municipal electrical infrastructure
- Prepare work sites (e.g. cable laying, isolating circuits)
- Perform load tests and ensure compliance with safety standards
- Support senior electrician on major projects
- Provide on-site supervision to general workers
- Maintain accurate reports and clear communication with supervisors
