Salary
Salary Level: 16/15
Annual Salary Range: R210,300 – R219,672 per annum (depending on level and experience)
Minimum Requirements
- Education: Basic Literacy (Grade 8)
- Languages: Proficiency in at least two official languages of the Mangaung Metro Municipality
- Experience: No prior experience required, but prior exposure to general labour duties will be advantageous
- Additional:
- Must be willing to work outside normal working hours during emergencies or planned overtime
- Must have the physical ability to perform general labour duties
- Must demonstrate commitment to service delivery and community upliftment
Core Duties and Responsibilities
Successful candidates will:
- Perform general labour and cleaning duties in line with municipal service delivery goals
- Support refuse collection, horticultural maintenance, grave digging, and sanitation operations
- Ensure cleanliness, environmental upkeep, and public health within allocated areas
- Follow safety, health, and environmental standards set by the municipality
- Report work progress and challenges to supervisors
