The college offers a variety of programmes designed to equip students with skills for employment or entrepreneurship.
The Information Technology Trainee programme at Ekurhuleni West TVET College is a temporary 18-month placement designed to provide graduates with hands-on experience in IT support, maintenance, and network operations within the college environment.
Minimum Requirements
Applicants must meet one of the following criteria:
- A+ or N+ qualification; or
 - Information Technology & Computer Science Level 4 certificate
 
Key Responsibilities
Successful candidates will be expected to:
- Perform basic repairs to printers or recommend external repairs
 - Make recommendations for ordering computer parts as needed
 - Assist campus and head office staff with network operations
 - Install and maintain software and internet connections
 - Maintain administrative unit computers and printers
 - Maintain the campus or head office network infrastructure
 - Ensure proper functioning of staff workstations, computers, and printers
 - Attend to any IT-related requests from campus management
