Description

  • The Financial Manager will be responsible for applying strategic financial management to ensure sustainable profitability while maintaining and developing finance policies and procedures.
  • The incumbent will play a key role in financial planning, risk management, system controls, and overall financial leadership within AFGRI Milling.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

  • BCom Accounting
  • Completed articles will be an advantage
  • 10 Years related experience in finance and business (including debtors, creditor, cash book, inventory, fixed assests, general ledger and trial balance)
  • 3-5 years of post-graduate financial management experience

KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS

  • Develop and maintain accounting systems, contribute to strategic decision-making, and enhance financial controls.
  • Manage financial best practices, cash flow, budgeting, financial forecasting, and compliance with IFRS and company policies.
  • Recruit, develop, and manage a team while fostering a motivational work environment.
  • Ensure a clean audit report, maintain an internal control matrix, and manage financial risks proactively.
  • Process credit applications, oversee debtor functions, and ensure efficient credit control processes.
  • Assist in system testing, updates, and reporting to improve financial systems.
  • Administration Management: Oversee admin functions, invoice processing, and reporting.

TECHNICAL COMPETENCIES

  • Advanced proficiency in MS Office
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Working knowledge of financial systems (IFRS, SAP, VAT, SARS)
  • Exposure to financial management techniques and principles

  • Strong analytical ability and business acumen
  • High accuracy and attention to detail
  • Effective planning and organising skills
