The mission of the North West Department of Community Safety and Transport Management is to provide effective coordination of crime prevention initiatives, provincial police oversight, traffic management and road safety towards a more secure environment.

North-West Department of Community Safety and Transport invites graduates to apply for Traffic Officer Learnerships in North-West, South Africa.

If you are between 18 and 35 and unemployed then this 3 year Learnership could be for you!

The Department of Community Safety and Transport Management is offering a Learnership programme in Road Traffic Management. The opportunity is open to unemployed youth aged 18 to 35 residing in the North West Province. The Learnership aims to empower and provide valuable skills to young individuals while offering amonthly stipend of R3000 for the duration of three years.

Learnership Requirements

To qualify for the programme, applicants must meet the following criteria:

Age: Between 18 and 35 years

Education: Grade 12 Certificate or Vocational National Certificate L4

Documents required:

Valid South African Identity Document (RSA ID)

Police Criminal Clearance Report (obtained from South African Police Services, issued within the last 3 weeks)

Medical report stating fitness for strenuous physical exercise (from a registered health professional with an official stamp)

Valid driver’s license (Code 8, 10, or 14 – No learners licenses accepted)

Proof of Residence (strictly from Municipality of Traditional Council)

No visible tattoos

Additional Information:

Applicants must not have participated in a previous Public Service Learnership Programme.

Applicants must not be 36 years of age or older at the time of enrollment.

Application Instructions

Application Form: Applications must be submitted using the improved Z83 form which should be fully completed, signed and dated. Incorrect or incomplete forms will results in disqualification.

Detailed Curriculum Vitae (CV) with at least three referees and their updated contact details.

Relevant qualification details should be included in the CV.

Applications with post-matric qualifications or short courses/skills development will not be accepted.

Attach the correct reference number, position, and department name in full.

Interviews will be conducted at a time and place determined by the Department.
