The Emalahleni Municipal area, which means the “place of coal”, consists inter alia of the towns of eMalahleni, Kwa-Guqa, Ga-Nala and Ogies. The town of eMalahleni was established in 1903. It was named after a ridge of white rock located near the present railway station. In the early years, this ridge was a halting place for transport wagons and a trading post.
REPORTING DIRECTLY TO SENIOR ADMINISTRATION PRACTITIONER
SALARY SCALE: TASK GRADE 08 (R227 005,02-R294 659,76) PER ANNUM, EXCLUDING BENEFITS
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
- Grade 12
- National Diploma in Office Management/ Administration or relevant qualification
- Communication skills in English and any of Nguni Languages, computer literacy, good listening skills, attention to details and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to function effectively and efficiently.
- One (1) year experience in Local Government/ Municipal Environment.
KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS
- Performing all administration functions for Councillors, typing for Councillors, receive their correspondence and make travel arrangements for Councillors.
- Performing associated function when required to do so.
- Assisting with complying and distribution of meeting agendas.
- Performing any other duties as and when required, to do so.
