Job Description

Ensure safe and effective implementation of operation logistics supply chain and material management.

  • To plan and manage the total business unit operational materials management function enduring effective and efficient material deliveries to the end user.
  • Effective stakeholder management with both suppliers and internal customers
  • Coordinating of activities within various supply chain discipline and relationships with peers.
  • To ensure adherence to legislation, group policies and procedures of all activities within an area.
  • To ensure SAP system integrity and new process improvements to eliminate R2P inefficiencies.
  • To ensure safe materials handling practices at the operation.
  • To manage and develop emplpyees ensuring an engaged and competent team.
  • To provide related information to the management team through effective communication.
  • To effectively manage the budget including cost saving initiatives

This role is in the Supply Chain department at a Band 6 level reporting to the Ops SC Manager.

Qualifications

  • A Degree or National Diploma qualification in Logistics/ Material Management or equivalent

Experience:

  • At least 3 years management experience in an industry with high stock velocities, warehousing and distribution.
  • Related experience in Supply Management, Materials Management, Logistics/ Distribution

Knowledge Knowledge and Skills::

  • Computer skills for the role including MIS
  • Materials Management Logistics/ Distribution Management.
