• An opportunity has arisen for a temporary Artisan Assistant at our Riebeeck West Mining depot. Please refer to the job details below for further information on the duties and responsibilities as well as the minimum requirements of the role.

Minimum Requirements

• Grade 12 / Matric
• A valid drivers licence
• Willing to work shifts, weekends, nightwork & public holidays
• Adhere to safe working procedures

Duties & Responsibilities

• Assist with repairs and services to Earth Moving Equipment Machines
• Component/ machine cleaning
• Basic maintenance and housekeeping
• Required to work overtime and standby from time to time and must be prepared to travel when needed
• Assist the artisan in all aspects
• Must be safety orientated as machine movement and component movements are present
• Must have some knowledge on basic tools and the purpose of tools used
• Ability to work under pressure
• A team player with the ability to work well within a team environment
• Work with high pressure equipment cleaning and earth moving machinery
• Sweep and clean work area after shift
• Clean and store all tools and spares after shift in the appointed areas.
