Barloworld Equipment is the Southern African dealer for Cat Earthmoving Equipment, with operations in South Africa, Lesotho, Swaziland, Namibia, Angola, Botswana, Zambia, Zimbabwe, Mozambique, and joint ventures in the Democratic Republic of Congo. Barloworld Equipment also holds full ownership of the main dealership on the Iberian peninsular and has recently completed the buy-out of their joint partner in the eastern Russia, Siberia dealership.
Barloworld Equipment is hiring Sales Consultant Vacancies in Durban.
Key Outputs
- Meet month-to-month sales target in New, Used and Rental.
- Sustain and grow machine sales and rental hours within allocated territories/customer base.
- Effective territory management and capturing of such data on the CRM.
- Accurately and efficiently deal with sales administrative tasks.
- Effective self-management and performance ownership.
- Manage all aspects of sales process.
- Market and sell entire range of equipment offered by BWE.
- Achieve sales and margin targets as agreed to with Management.
- Assume overall ownership of smaller market penetration (products that are lagging)
- Provide punctual and accurate reporting with regards to all CRM and other sales reports.
- Build and maintain allocated customer base and grow new customer base by cold calling.
- Actively seek out new sales opportunities i.e Daily cold calling/prospecting for new business.
- Work with Customers to understand their requirements.
- Manage and maintain time management.
- Comply with all of BWE’s policies and procedures.
- Be able to work independently and without supervision.
- Ensure that customers are always well informed on new and existing range of equipment.
- Provide solutions with regards to machine applications.
- Must be willing to travel to visit customers and clients.
Qualification, Experience and Competencies
- B.Tech Sales/Marketing Diploma or equivalent
- Grade 12
- Minimum 3-5 years sales experience in a similar Industry
- Proficiency (spoken and written) in English is a prerequisite
- Sound knowledge of the culture and business practices
- Business planning & development skills
- Industry knowledge/understanding (KZN)
- Strong communication and presentation skills
- Process compliance orientation
- Knowledge of CAT product line including accessories and work tools
- A reasonable technical knowledge/understanding of earthmoving machines and applications
- Able to deal professionally with middle and senior management and customers
- Skilled at self-planning and time management
- Competent to work effectively on his/her own
- Presentable and able to promote the company
- Prepared to travel and work additional hours
- Computer literate in MS packages with Salesforce (CRM) experience preferred
- Financial acumen
