Eligibility Requirements
Applicants must meet the following criteria:
- Must be a South African citizen.
- Currently in Matric (2025) or have recently completed Matric.
- Studying or intending to study in one of the above fields at a recognised South African university.
- Entering 1st, 2nd, 3rd or 4th year of study in 2026.
- Achieved at least 65% in Mathematics, Physical Science and English in Matric (if not yet studying).
- Achieved a minimum 60% overall average if already at university.
- Strong academic record required.
- Preference will be given to students from local communities near Namakwa Sands sites (Saldanha and Matzikama Municipalities).
- Female students and students with disabilities are encouraged to apply.
Selection Process
- May include psychometric assessments, background checks and medical examinations.
- Shortlisted candidates will be contacted — if you do not hear back within 4 weeks after the closing date, consider your application unsuccessful.
