Eligibility Requirements

Applicants must meet the following criteria:

• Must be a South African citizen.
• Currently in Matric (2025) or have recently completed Matric.
• Studying or intending to study in one of the above fields at a recognised South African university.
• Entering 1st, 2nd, 3rd or 4th year of study in 2026.
• Achieved at least 65% in Mathematics, Physical Science and English in Matric (if not yet studying).
• Achieved a minimum 60% overall average if already at university.
• Strong academic record required.
• Preference will be given to students from local communities near Namakwa Sands sites (Saldanha and Matzikama Municipalities).
• Female students and students with disabilities are encouraged to apply.

Selection Process

• May include psychometric assessments, background checks and medical examinations.
