The Mbhashe Local Municipality is a Category B municipality located in the Eastern Cape province of South Africa. Its administrative headquarters are in the town of Dutywa.
Requirements
- Grade 12 qualification.
- Civil Engineering learners with S4 who need in-service training (P1/P2) to obtain a Diploma/Degree.
- Completed S4 Civil Engineering students with no experience are also encouraged to apply.
- Preference will be given to Student Technicians from Mbhashe Local Municipality as part of youth employment and capacity-building.
Key Performance Areas
- Create detailed plans and blueprints for construction projects using CAD software.
- Assist on construction projects to ensure work stays on schedule and within budget.
- Conduct site visits, monitor progress, and ensure compliance with regulations.
- Work with contractors, government officials, and other stakeholders to ensure projects meet requirements.
- Identify and resolve technical issues that arise during construction.
- Monitor adherence to quality standards.
- Compile monthly progress reports.
- Communicate with consultants and stakeholders for smooth project execution.
- Conduct site investigations and feasibility studies.
- Ensure compliance with environmental regulations.
- Manage project budgets, timelines, and resources.
