Clinix Health Group was founded by Dr. Khamane Obed Peter (K O P) Matseke in 1992 and has grown from strength to strength. In 1992 the company employed less than 5 people who led our first hospital Clinix Botshelong-Empilweni Private Hospital to open its doors to the Vosloorus community in 1994. With over 20 years of providing quality healthcare in the communities we operate in, Clinix Health Group owns and manages seven hospitals and has approximately 2600 individuals that are working in our hospitals on a daily basis.
Minimum Requirements:
- B Hons (Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics or Data Science)
- 3-5 years’ relevant experience
- Healthcare experience is non-negotiable
- Knowledge of Clinical coding including ICD-10 and CPT coding
- Knowledge of Material coding including NAPPI codes, ATC codes
- Knowledge of Modelling concepts including GLMs, Machine learning models
Minimum work experience:
- Work with large datasets on data extraction, cleaning, extrapolation, analysis and presentation.
- Formulate data science solutions to business problems by collaborating with relevant business leads.
- Design and implement algorithms to solve a wide array of problems with analytics and statistical approaches built on high dimensional datasets.
- Write reusable and production ready code.
- Plan, design, develop, optimise and assist with deployment and enhancement of predictive models.
- Provide input and expertise in the development of advanced analytics strategy for the Group.
- Provide subject matter expertise in areas such as hospital operations, funder relation management, performance measure development, healthcare administration, patient satisfaction, labour and productivity analytics and financial modelling.
- Provide advice (and where necessary draft relevant documentation) regarding CHG Standards, Policies and SOPs pertaining to Data Science, Analytics and Business Intelligence.
- Identify innovative ways to improve business practices, processes and synergies to increase efficiencies.
- Manage interfaces beyond CHG with relevant bodies and structures regulating or driving best practice for the Actuarial practice.
- Ensure conflict resolution and respond to any complaints or concerns.
- Support skills development and transfer initiatives.
- Comply with cost controls to achieve section budget.
- Research, collate and present business intelligence to feed into management decisions and support business strategy.
- Ensure complete, timeous and accurate reporting with appropriate levels of escalation to enable effective decision making.
- Identify and implement opportunities for cost reduction and to streamline processes.
