Egoli Gas acquires natural gas from Sasol which is stored at a secure facility in Langlaagte where it is carefully monitored and controlled. The gas is reticulated to Egoli Gas’ Cottesloe premises where it’s stored in low pressure holders before being reticulated to homes and businesses across the city.

Egoli Gas invites graduates to apply for Supply Chain & Logistics Internships in Johannesburg, South Africa.

This role is designed for recent graduates looking to start their career in Supply Chain management or Logistics. The successful candidate will gain hands-on experience in various aspects of supply chain operations, including procurement, logistics, inventory management, and production planning.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Logistics Coordination: Assist in planning and coordinating the logistics of product distribution, including transportation, warehousing, and delivery.
  • Inventory Management: Monitor and manage inventory levels to ensure optimal stock levels and minimize excess inventory and accurate stock keeping
  • Supplier Management: Collaborate with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of goods and resolve any issues related to procurement.
  • Data Analysis: Analyze supply chain data to identify trends, inefficiencies, and areas for improvement. Provide recommendations based on findings.
  • Process Improvement: Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to optimize supply chain processes, reduce costs, and enhance efficiency.
  • Documentation: Maintain accurate records of orders and inventory levels. Ensure all documentation is up-to-date and compliant with company policies. Filing up to date.
  • Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with other departments such as production, sales, and customer service to ensure smooth operations across the supply chain.
  • Reporting: Prepare regular reports on supply chain performance, including key metrics such as lead times, order accuracy, and inventory turnover.
  • Compliance: Ensure that all supply chain activities comply with relevant regulations, industry standards, and company policies.

Requirements:

National Diploma or Degree in:

  • Supply Chain Management
  • Logistics
  • or related

Skills and Competencies:

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
  • Basic understanding of supply chain principles and practices.
