- Contract Type: Structured learnership leading to artisan qualification
The purpose of this learnership is to provide successful candidates with structured training, both on and off the job, to qualify as artisans in their respective trades.
Minimum Qualifications and Requirements
- Grade 12 / STD 10 / NQF Level 4 equivalent (essential)
- Minimum of N2 with four (4) completed subjects or NCV Level 4 in a relevant trade (essential)
The candidate must:
- Undergo knowledge and psychometric assessments and attend a formal interview
- Obtain a medical fitness certificate (Red Ticket) and Heat Tolerance Screening (HTS)
Key Performance Areas
The successful candidates will be trained to:
- Assist artisans in their job functions and perform technical work (fix, replace, and maintain equipment)
- Complete all engineering training phases and qualify as artisans
- Adhere to Marula Mine rules, regulations, and safety standards
- Work effectively with an allocated coach (artisan or foreman)
- Conduct fault diagnosis, problem solving, and reporting
- Maintain equipment efficiently to help reduce production losses
- Act as a supervisor with limited authority to gain supervision skills and experience
