Eskom is Hiring General Workers in Gauteng, South Africa. This is a great opportunity for individuals with Grade 12 and technical field experience to contribute to South Africa’s leading power utility.
Position Details: Utilityman Site (Z04) – X5 Posts
Minimum Requirements
- Qualification: Grade 12 (Matric)
- Experience: 1–2 years in a technical field
- Familiarity with manual, semi-skilled labour tasks (lifting, pushing, moving materials, etc.)
Skills and Competencies
- Physical stamina and fitness to perform heavy labour
- Use of power and hand tools
- Working safely at heights
- Time management and ability to work overtime
- Understanding of safety procedures and OHSA regulations
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills
- Technical aptitude and attention to detail
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain a clean and safe workplace
- Proper handling of tools, equipment, and housekeeping
- Adherence to SHEQ standards: Safety, Health, Environment, and Quality
- Compile Hazard Identification and Risk Assessments (HIRA)
- Comply with Eskom’s safety policies
