Amahlathi Local Municipality is a Category B municipality located within the Amathole District of the Eastern Cape province of South Africa.
Minimum Prescribed Education
- Matric plus a National Diploma or Degree in Accounting, Internal Audit or equivalent with a final major in:
- Financial Management
- Management Accounting
- Financial Accounting
- Financial Information Systems
- Preference will be given to candidates who have Financial Information Systems as a major
- Good oral and communication skills
Minimum Prescribed Experience
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Computer literacy with sound knowledge of MS Word & Excel
- Ability to multitask
- People-oriented
Key Performance Areas
- Assist in implementing GRAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Practices) and budget/financial reporting reforms
- Support general financial management responsibilities
- Assist with reconciliations and financial analysis
- Assist in developing financial reports as per MFMA (including statistical analysis)
- Placement in various sections within the department
- Perform any other responsibilities as assigned
