Are you a driven and analytical graduate with a passion for finance? Illovo Sugar South Africa is offering an exciting 24-month Finance Graduate Training Programme based at their Head Office in Durban. This opportunity is open to unemployed graduates, especially from previously disadvantaged groups, who are eager to gain hands-on experience in cost management, business analysis, commercial reporting, and more.
This intensive programme will give you end-to-end exposure to financial operations across business units, working closely with teams in Operations, Sales, and Supply Chain.
About the Role
As a Finance Graduate Trainee, you will contribute to:
Cost Management & Analysis
- Supporting budgeting and forecasting for direct/indirect costs
- Analysing production and operating costs
- Assisting with cost allocation models
- Monitoring cost performance with operations teams
Sales & Commercial Reporting
- Preparing revenue and margin reports
- Performing product, region, and customer profitability analysis
- Tracking sales targets and variance analysis
- Supporting pricing strategies
Business Partnering & Engagement
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams
- Presenting financial results to stakeholders
- Assisting with strategic projects and ad hoc analysis
Minimum Qualifications & Requirements
To qualify, applicants must:
- Hold a CTA Qualification, or an Honours in Management Accounting or Finance
- Have a strong academic record
- Be proficient in Microsoft Excel
- Be comfortable handling large datasets
- Demonstrate strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Be highly detail-oriented and work well under pressure
