CRITICAL OUTPUTS

  • Effectively manage operational expenses including but not limited to staffing and dental consumables.
  • Deliver friendly, effective service to clients visiting the facility according to policies and procedures.
  • Provide accurate information to customers at all times regarding professional availability and account information.
  • Ensure correct data completion and capturing of patient information.
  • Manage and implement sound patient flow in the dental department.
  • Implement and communicate revised / new operational processes to all staff members.
  • Manage correct capturing of all patient data.
  • Ensure patient confidentiality at all times.
  • Assess billing information and ensure corrections.
  • Assist patients with account queries, support staff and escalate as necessary.
  • Ensure availability of stationary, business consumables and printing stock etc.
  • To record and manage maintenance of all dental equipment.
  • Schedule services of dental equipment.
  • Ensure compliance to licensing requirements of x-ray machine.
  • Ensure sound working relationships with internal and external customers.
  • Manage the provision of accurate information to customers.
  • Ensure that dental staff delivers a quality customer service.
  • Ensure that communication to customers portray a professional, efficient image at all times.
  • All queries to be handled courteously and professionally within 24 hours.
  • Ensure that dentists’ diaries are opened according to scheduled rosters.
  • Ensure pro-active communication with health professionals to identify and address needs and risks.
  • Coordinate and implement sound dental operational practices aligned with the dental operating model.
  • Quality customer service aligned with Intercare’s vision, mission, and values.
  • Monthly management of creditors for the dental department.
  • Effective leadership and people management.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Minimum qualification: Grade 12
  • 2-3 years’ experience within a dental environment
  • Computer proficiency (MS Office) essential, GoodX experience advantageous.
  • Registered with HPCSA as a registered Dental Assistant.
  • Strong background in administration.
