The South African Police Service (SAPS) is the national police force of the Republic of South Africa. Its mission is to prevent and combat crime, maintain public order, and uphold and enforce the law.
Who Can Apply (Generic Requirements)
- South African citizen with NSC/Matric or NCV Level 4
- No criminal record or pending cases
- Unemployed, never employed in the field of the advertised post, and never participated in a relevant internship programme
- Resident of the province where the post is advertised
- Apply for up to three posts (submit a separate form per post reference)
Internship Categories
- Graduate Intern: Completed tertiary qualification (Diploma/Degree, NQF 6+, recorded on NLRD)
- Student Intern: Requires in-service/experiential learning to complete a qualification (institution letter ≤ 2 years old)
