The Ray Nkonyeni Municipality is a local municipality on the south coast of KwaZulu-Natal, South Africa. It is within the Ugu District Municipality and was established in 2016 through the merger of the Ezinqoleni and Hibiscus Coast local municipalities. Its administrative seat is in Port Shepstone.

The Ray Nkonyeni Municipality Internship Programme 2025 is aimed at empowering local graduates by offering them meaningful work experience within various municipal departments.

This initiative aligns with the municipality’s goal of promoting youth development, capacity building, and employment equity, creating pathways for graduates to establish successful careers in the public sector and beyond.

Who Can Apply

To qualify for this programme, applicants must:

  • Be unemployed South African graduates under the age of 35 years.
  • Reside within the Ray Nkonyeni Municipal area (proof of residence required).
  • Hold a relevant tertiary qualification in one of the listed fields.
  • Be passionate about local development and public service delivery.
