The Retail Frontline Programme, powered by the Mr Price Foundation, provides unemployed youth with valuable life skills, customer service training, and on-the-job retail experience. The programme is aimed at helping young South Africans become work-ready and more employable within the retail sector.

Programme Structure

The JumpStart Retail Frontline Programme consists of:

Online Life Skills Course – Learn essential communication, teamwork, and workplace ethics skills.
In-Person Training & Interviews – Participate in classroom-based sessions and retail-focused interviews.
One Week of Work Experience – Gain hands-on experience in an actual retail store environment.

This combination of theoretical learning and practical training ensures participants are fully equipped to secure entry-level positions in retail.

Basic Requirements

To qualify for the Retail Frontline Programme, applicants must meet the following criteria:

  • Be a South African citizen
  • Have completed Matric
  • Be between 18 and 33 years old
  • Be unemployed
  • Have no criminal record
