Job Description
As a Maintenance Planner, you will:

  • Promote and support the creation of maintenance excellence through the planning, resourcing and execution of preventative maintenance processes with the relevant stakeholders.

Qualification Requirements

  • Higher Technical Institute certification in Engineering related field/ equivalent qualification Essential
  • Qualified artisan Essential
  • Computer Maintenance management system eg C-Works, SAP etc Essential
  • Lean Six sigma yellow belt practitioner/ Lean practitioner Desirable

Experience Requirements

  • Preventative Maintenance work in FMCG or Foodbev industry 4-5 Years Essential
  • Development and implementation of preventative and predictive maintenance schedules 3 -5 Years Essential
  • Preventative maintenance planning and the Total Productive Maintenance / 1-2 years Desirable
  • World Class Manufacturing process. 1-2 years Desirable

Key Outputs

  • To reduce unscheduled downtime and improve product quality by planning, scheduling and resourcing preventative and predictive maintenance tasks according to the agreed process and standards.
  • To support timely maintenance by ensuring optimal stock levels of all critical spare parts and orders by relevant mangers to ensure plant and equipment are maintained to a high standard.
  • Support continuous improvement and timeous management decision making by reporting and tracking plant and equipment performance to identify obstacles to performance areas via root cause analysis techniques with the relevant stakeholders.
  • To ensure an up to date C works maintenance system with the necessary schedules of all parts, equipment, tools and supplies to generate the following:
  • Weekly running schedules
  • Daily, weekly and monthly lubrication schedules
  • Weekly stop inspection schedules
  • Monthly, three monthly, six monthly and annual PM schedules
  • Conditioning monitoring schedules.
  • This will support engineering requirements for all electrical, mechanical, instrumentation and condition monitoring.
  • To support the Team Leader by coordinating multiple levels of labour, including general staff, maintenance team and outside specialized contractors for specific tasks.
  • To support HSE audits by maintaining full set of records as per the requirements and standards.
  • Assisting in creating Capex, getting quotations and cross functional interactions between suppliers.
