MECS delivers an integrated HR management solution to a domestic and international client base, with in-house expertise that enables the management of a workforce around six key services: contractual manpower, recruitment, HR & IR management, payroll bureau services, project logistics, and employee benefits programs.
Responsibilities:
- Procurement Coordination: Support the preparation of procurement plans, standards, documentation, and procedures, ensuring alignment with project objectives and philosophies.
- Tender and Supplier Management: Handle RFQs, tender queries, commercial evaluations, supplier negotiations, and recommendations for award while maintaining bidder lists and supplier databases.
- Purchase Order Administration: Issue, process, and amend purchase orders, ensuring approvals, compliance with terms, and accurate invoice management within the supply chain system.
- Recordkeeping and Reporting: Maintain organized filing systems, track procurement progress, and prepare monthly forecasts and project reports.
- Compliance and Closure: Ensure confidentiality, resolve disputes, manage penalties and claims, and oversee timely purchase order closeouts, including bank guarantees and cash retentions.
Qualification & Experience:
- High school education
- Diploma in a related field
- Experience of procurement in the mineral processing plant field
- Good interpersonal and communication skills for liaising with project personnel, suppliers & clients.
- Appreciation and participation in team behaviour within procurement & project team environments.
- Must be responsible, accurate and thorough in all areas.
- Thorough knowledge of and experience with computers and associated complex software packages.
