The mission of the Mpumalanga Tourism and Parks Agency is to grow tourism and manage biodiversity to stimulate sustainable economic growth that is inclusive and creates decent employment.

Mpumalanga Tourism and Parks Agency (MTPA) invites graduates to apply for Nature Conservation: Resource Guardianship Learnerships for 2025.

Learnership Base Stations and Allocations

Successful applicants will be placed at one of the following Nature Reserves or MTPA stations:

Ohrigstad Dam Nature Reserve 4

Total Positions Available: 52

Responsibilities Include

  • Assisting in the conservation of biodiversity
  • Monitoring and removing invasive vegetation
  • Participating in fire, rehabilitation and restoration efforts
  • Performing infrastructure maintenance, plant propagation, and administration
  • Collecting data and contributing to conservation objectives
  • Promoting community awareness and education
  • Attending structured training and support sessions

Who Should Apply?

Applicants must meet the following requirements:

  • Be unemployed South Africans between the ages of 18 and 35
  • Have a Grade 12 (Matric) certificate
  • Attach a Curriculum Vitae (CV) and certified copy of ID
  • Provide valid proof of residence
  • Reside in the Mpumalanga Province
  • Not studying at any tertiary institution
  • Not registered or previously participated in another learnership
  • Be willing to work outdoors and engage in physical work
