
Nongoma Municipality
Nongoma Municipality is a local municipality within the northeastern part of the Zululand District Municipality, in the KwaZulu-Natal province of South Africa. It is Zululand's second largest municipality in terms of population and the second largest in terms of area.
Nongoma Municipality is hiring EPWP General Workers for the 2025/2026 financial year.
Minimum Requirements
- Must be a South African citizen with a valid SA ID
- Aged between 18 and 35 years
- Must reside in Nongoma Municipality
- Proof of residence from Ward Councillor required
- Must be in good physical health (role includes manual labour)
- Good communication skills
- Must be disciplined and able to follow instructions
Key Responsibilities
- Perform general labour duties
- Participate in waste management and cleaning
- Ensure work areas are kept clean and safe for public use
- Handle tools and cleaning materials responsibly
Targeting & Selection Criteria
- Priority will be given to previously disadvantaged individuals
- 60% of selected candidates should be youth
- 55% should be women
- 2% should be people living with disabilities
