The Emalahleni Municipal area, which means the “place of coal”, consists inter alia of the towns of eMalahleni, Kwa-Guqa, Ga-Nala and Ogies. The town of eMalahleni was established in 1903. It was named after a ridge of white rock located near the present railway station. In the early years, this ridge was a halting place for transport wagons and a trading post.

REPORTING DIRECTLY TO PMU MANAGER
SALARY SCALE: TASK GRADE 13 (R451 556,52- R586 135,44) PER ANNUM, EXCLUDING BENEFITS
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

  • (Grade 12)
  • National Diploma in Civil Engineering (NQF Level 6)
  • Three (3) years relevant Experience in Project Management.
  • Valid Driving licence.
  • Good Computer Literacy.
  • Diploma in Project Management will be an added advantage.
  • Registration with professional body will be an added advantage.

KEY PERFOMANCE AREAS:

  • Preparing grant business Plan, Implementation Plan etc.
  • Managing of grant funded projects.
  • Registering and Reporting projects on MIG-MIS.
  • Monitoring projects and Reporting.
  • Presenting Projects on the District Appraisal Committee.
  • Drafting of Projects Specification.
  • Participating on Project evaluation process.
