Rheinmetall Denel Munition (RF) invites graduates to apply for Procurement Internships in Wellington, South Africa.

Purpose of the Job

As a Procurement Intern, your main task will be to analyze suppliers for goods and services, negotiate contracts, and support the procurement team in meeting cost-saving targets. You will be an essential part of ensuring that Rheinmetall Denel Munition’s supply chain operates smoothly and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities

  • Overseeing the procurement process from price evaluation to final selection.
  • Assisting in negotiating multiyear contracts with suppliers alongside the Senior Buyer.
  • Building strong relationships with suppliers to gain insights into products, sources, and pricing.
  • Conducting cost analysis to help meet cost-saving targets.
  • Evaluating prices and making recommendations for final supplier selection.

Qualifications You Should Have

  • B Com / B Tech / Advanced Diploma in Procurement, Logistics, or Supply Chain.
  • Valid Driver’s License.
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Strong written, verbal, and presentation skills in English.
  • Experience in supply chain within a manufacturing environment (advantageous).
  • Familiarity with SAP ERP systems (advantageous).
  • Excellent negotiation, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
  • Strong time management and organizational abilities.
  • Ability to take responsibility with a high level of integrity.
