Founded in 1895 during the Johannesburg gold rush, it has a long history as a key player in the country’s economy and is known for its wide portfolio of popular beer brands.

Key Roles and Responsibilities

  • Where there are no Production Scheduler and Scheduling Analyst at a Brewery the Scheduling Clerk would take on the Outputs and Responsibilities of the Production Scheduler and Analyst in addition to the below
  • Raise Orders in On Time
  • Contact Supplier to ensure supplier confirmation for orders sent
  • Delivery Schedule Adherence and follow up with Suppliers on ETA and Commitments
  • Monitor raw materials supply to production through correspondence with Warehouse Leads and Suppliers and factor into production plans
  • Interpret and Implement the Production Plan to ensure Raw Material Availability and Empties Availability
  • PTP/GRIR follow up
  • Manage open orders with Suppliers to ensure only current orders reflect in On Time
  • Engage MRP Material Owner on Gaps on Stock on Hand at Supplier and at Brewery vs Production Schedule
  • Work with MRP team on Master-data updates required in On Time
  • Implementation and Adoption of On Time and PPMS
  • Engage Supplier to understand stock on hand to ensure IP is met between Brewery Stock and Supplier stock
  • NST Time Allocation Analysis and Reporting

Minimum Requirements:

  • A Diploma or equivalent tertiary qualification – Highly Advantageous
  • A minimum of 3 years’ relevant experience in a manufacturing environment, or within a similar function
  • An in depth understanding of the SAB value chain process (Production and Distribution Value Chains)
  • Knowledge of the Supply Network Planning process, and manufacturing execution systems will be advantageous
  • Basic financial knowledge
  • PC Literacy –basic Excel and database management skills
  • Knowledge of Production and Distribution value chains
