Description
- To protect the company’s financial interests by making sound credit decisions regarding credit limits and payment terms for customers while effectively managing debt recovery and minimising bad debt losses.
Requirements
Minimum Requirements
- Grade 12 (Matric)
- Diploma/Degree in Credit Management
- Additional qualifications in Business Management or Finance will be advantageous
- Minimum 5 years’ relevant experience, with at least 2 years in a managerial role
- Experience with SAGE will be an advantage
Key Performance Areas:
- Ensure accurate month-end financial processes and reporting
- Manage debtor age analysis, collections, and customer accounts to minimise overdue amounts
- Esure adherence to credit policies, legal requirements, and delegation of authority
- Provide monthly reports for the Credit Committee and escalate deviations as required
- Approve and process new credit applications in line with the Credit Act and company policies
- Support audit processes, implement corrective measures, and ensure compliance
- Handle customer credit-related queries and provide training on credit policies
- Monitor and follow up on outstanding payments to improve cash flow,
- Lead and develop the credit control team, ensuring effective delegation and performance management
