Recommendation/Aanbeveling

Industry experience

  • At least five years’ relevant industry experience, preferably in a management role.
  • Preference will be given to candidates with more extensive or more senior-level industry experience.

Teaching and learning

  • Preference will be given to candidates with a proven teaching ability at tertiary level, with a passion for student development and academic mentorship.
  • Preference will be given to candidates with a proven experience of supervising postgraduate students – strong preference to candidates who have supervised structured master’s research assignments.
  • Proficiency in digital learning platforms, learning management systems and assessment tools such as Moodle, Turnitin and online marking rubrics.

Research and scholarly output

  • Research experience in project management and/or supply chain management, with a proven track record of scholarly publications, research leadership and contributions to advancing knowledge in these fields.

Other

  • Proficiency in English and one or more of South Africa other official languages.
  • Registration, or have taken steps towards registration, as professional engineer with ECSA or a comparable professional body.
  • Academic excellence (research, teaching, curriculum development).
  • Practical, real-world experience (especially in project/supply chain management roles).
