SANRAL seeks to enhance your travel and road experience by strategically planning, designing, constructing, and maintaining the national road network for social development and economic growth in SA.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
- A Diploma in Information Technology at an NQF level 6.
- Five (5) years relevant storage and backup experience in an Enterprise ICT environment.
Certificates:
- HPE 3PAR StoreServ I and/or HPE 3PAR HPE StoreServ II
ADVANTAGEOUS:
- IT Enterprise size DR, plan, implement and maintain.
- Managing HPE 3PAR StoreServ I experience.
- Managing HPE 3PAR StoreServ II experience.
- Implementing MSA Storage Solutions experience.
- ITIL Foundation.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Management of systems in accordance with ITIL Methodologies:
- Respond to calls and requests logged on Helpdesk timeously and resolve them accordingly.
- SLA Management for Data Center Services.
- Follow the change management, incident management and problem management according to the ITIL Framework.
- Continuous Improvements.
Operational
- Monitor, contribute and report on compliance to documented protocols to ensure contractual objectives are achieved.
- Maintain short-term and long-term capacity and availability goals to deliver on day-to-day services.
- Development / partake in the policies, procedures, and organisation capability to establish sufficient capacity to manage continuity and disaster recovery.
- Participate in any incident that leads to a disastrous event.
- Participate in annual disaster recovery testing as required and specified in the contract.
- Participates in SANRAL ICT DR plans, policies, and strategies.
- Storage provisioning.
- Zoning
- Firmware maintenance (SAN, Storage, Blade Chassis, Physical servers)
- Maintain HPE repairs.
- Ad-hoc project management.
- Patch management.
Reporting
- Provide monthly SANRAL infrastructure availability reports.
- Contribute to the compilation of monthly capacity and availability reporting
- ICT hardware firmware status.
- ICT software status.
- Project feedback.
- Change and Ticket feedback.
