Job Title: Firefighter (2 Posts)

• Salary: R238 164 – R309 120 per annum (T-08 of a Category 4 Local Authority)

Requirements

Minimum Qualifications:

• Grade 12 or higher
• Firefighter I course
• Hazmat Awareness
• First Aid Level 3
• Driver’s License Code EB
• Physically and mentally fit
• No criminal record

Additional Advantageous Qualifications:

• Driver’s License Code C
• Firefighter II course
• Hazmat Operational / Fire & Rescue
• Relevant Firefighter Certificate

Experience:

• 3 years’ operational experience

Job Purpose

To respond to firefighting, emergency rescue, and fire prevention operations, maintain station facilities and fire equipment, and perform administrative, training, and compliance duties in line with the Fire Brigade Services Act (Act 99 of 1987) and Municipal Structures Act (Act 117 of 1998).
