Tsolo Agriculture and Rural Development Institute (“TARDI”), previsuosly Tsolo College of Agriculture, is situated in Mhlontlo Local Municipality, a rural municipality with a population of about a 194 000 people, that falls under one of the larger districts in the Eastern Cape. The OR Tambo District Municipality has an area size of 12 096 km2 and is a Category C municipality located in the east of the coastline in Eastern Cape Province. It is bordered by the Alfred Nzo District Municipality to the north, the Joe Gqabi District Municipality to the north-west, the Amathole District Municipality to the south-west, and the Chris Hani District Municipality to the west.

Tsolo Agriculture and Rural Development Institute invites graduate youth to apply for AgriSETA Learnership Programme 2025.

AgriSETA Work Integrated Learnership Program

Eligibility Criteria:

  • Age: Applicants must be between the ages of 18 and 34.
  • Nationality: Must be a South African citizen.
  • Qualifications:
    • Must hold at least an NQF Level 5 qualification (Diploma) in a relevant field.
    • Preference given to those residing in the Eastern Cape.
    • Must be enrolled at an Agricultural or TVET College requiring practical experience for their course.
  • NQF Compliance:
    • 30% theory, 70% practical training required.
    • Qualification should require 18 months of Work Integrated Learning (WIL) for completion.

  • Agricultural Support Fields
  • Plumbing, Electrician, and Mechanical Engineering

Required Documents:
