Discovery Connect is the company’s sales and service division, utilising world-class lead generation and conversion techniques to grow Discovery’s product reach across health, short- and long-term insurance, banking, and investment portfolios.

The Connect team’s goal is to expand coverage to over one million lives, delivering outstanding customer service and engagement through technology and human connection.

About the Wealth Management Learnership

The Discovery Wealth Management Learnership is a 12-month programme that provides participants with:

  • A nationally recognised NC: Wealth Management NQF Level 5 qualification, and
  • Valuable practical workplace experience within the Financial Services industry.

Learners will work in business support and administrative functions, contributing to the efficiency and success of Discovery’s financial teams while developing key industry skills.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain accurate statistics and data on queries received and resolved.
  • Coordinate administrative functions and route tasks to appropriate departments.
  • Manage and respond to queries within agreed Service Level Agreements (SLA).
  • Handle email communication and manage shared mailboxes.
  • Log IT requests for call retrievals and assist with call recording processes.
  • Identify potential sales opportunities within client interactions.

Minimum Education Requirements

  • Grade 12 (Matric) is essential, with the following minimum results:
    • Mathematics: Level 4 (50%) or higher
    • English: Level 4 (50%) or higher
    • Mathematical Literacy: Level 5 (60%) or higher
    • Second language: Level 4 (50%) or higher
  • Incomplete tertiary qualification in Finance will be an advantage.

Eligibility Criteria

Applicants must:

  • Be a South African citizen by birth
  • Be between the ages of 18 and 30
  • Not be engaged in post-Matric studies or full-time employment
  • Not have completed any previous Learnership
  • Have good written and verbal English communication skills
  • Be computer literate (MS Excel and MS Outlook)
