In the 24 months the HC intern will be exposed to the human capital value chain:

  • HC administration
  • Onboarding and Offboarding processes
  • Performance management administration
  • Employee relations
  • Human Capital projects

Qualifications:

  • Degree in Human Resource Management/Human Resource Development/
  • Organisational Psychology.

Experience:

  • None

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Key Performance Areas and Tasks

HC Administration:

Assist with:

  • Recruitment administration
  • Vacancy activations
  • Interview scheduling
  • Conducting references
  • Psychometric assessments and MIE checks
  • Employee take on
  • Employee documentation and transfer paperwork
  • Employee induction
  • Employee Offboarding
  • Ensure offboarding checklist are adhered to
  • Communicate with internal stakeholders on offboarding processes
  • Record keeping and updating of employee electronic files
  • HC Operations

Assist with:

  • Employment Equity
  • (Annual collection of EEA1 forms, collating of EE barriers as collected from EE & SD forum members)
  • Performance Management
  • Assist the HCBP and HCO with scheduling annual trainings Assist with system queries

Employee relations

  • Coordination of employee wellness initiatives; provide update on the approved employee wellness plan
  • BEE audits –data collation
  • HC Projects

Assist with:

  • Arrangements of HC events
  • Provide admin support for HC projects as per HC annual calendar
