Job Description
Stefanutti Stocks Africa is looking for an experienced and results-driven Project Manager to join our team based in Zimbabwe. The Project Manager will take full accountability for the successful delivery of a solar plant renewable energy contract, ensuring projects are executed safely, on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.
Working closely with clients, contractors, and internal teams, the role will lead all project phases from planning and mobilisation through construction, commissioning, and handover. This position requires a strong technical background, excellent leadership capability, and proven experience managing complex engineering or renewable energy projects.

Minimum Requirements
- 5–8 years’ experience in a Project Manager or Senior Site/Construction Manager role within construction, engineering, or renewable energy environments
- Proven experience delivering solar, renewable energy, or infrastructure projects (utility-scale solar preferred)
- Degree or Diploma in Engineering, Construction Management, or related technical field
- Registered with the Engineering Council of South Africa (ECSA) preferably
- Working knowledge of Construction Computer Software (CCS) project management systems
- Project Management certification (PMP/Prince2 or equivalent) advantageous
- Experience managing contracts, subcontractors, and multidisciplinary teams
- Strong financial and commercial management experience including budgeting, forecasting, and cost control
- Proficiency in MS Office and project management tools (MS Project or similar)
- Willingness to be site-based in Zimbabwe and travel as required
Knowledge and Skills
- Strong understanding of project lifecycle management from planning through commissioning
- Knowledge of solar plant construction, EPC contracts, and renewable energy project requirements
- Solid grasp of construction methodologies, scheduling, and resource planning
- Experience managing HSE compliance and promoting a strong safety culture on site
- Ability to manage subcontractors, suppliers, and service providers effectively
- Contract administration and claims management capability
- Strong financial acumen with the ability to track costs, manage budgets, and control risks
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
- Analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to make decisions under pressure
- High level of accountability, organisation, and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently while leading and motivating site teams
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the full delivery of the solar plant project
- Develop and manage project plans, schedules, budgets, and resource allocations
- Ensure delivery within agreed timelines, cost parameters, and quality standards
- Oversee procurement, subcontractor selection, and contract performance
- Manage site construction activities and technical teams
- Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements
- Monitor project risks and implement mitigation strategies
- Provide regular reporting to senior management and stakeholders
- Manage client relationships and ensure high levels of customer satisfaction
- Support project commissioning, testing, and successful handover
