About eThekwini Municipality

EThekwini Municipality is a metropolitan municipality in the KwaZulu-Natal province of South Africa. Created in 2000, it includes the coastal city of Durban and its surrounding towns and rural areas. The Zulu word eThekwini means “ocean and bay lagoon”. The landscape features a warm, subtropical climate, extensive beaches, hilly regions, gorges, and ravines. The municipality’s composition of urban, semi-urban, and rural environments presents a challenge for sustainable development.

Job Purpose

• To ensure the enforcement of network security policies  by understanding, implementing and enforcing policies as per the organizations requirements as well as to improve the Information Security Posture of the organization.

Essential Requirements 

• Diploma (NQF Level 6) in the Information and Communication Technology (ICT) field.
• Valid motor vehicle driving license.
• 3 Years relevant experience. Computer Literacy.
