Responsibilities:
- Set up and maintain variance reports on all daily test results and oversee follow-up on deviations.
- Prepare and execute CAPEX projects for the acquisition of new grading instruments at the silos.
- Liaise with the Quality Manager and Regional Managers to confirm equipment placement according to crop estimates.
- Oversee the installation, calibration, and maintenance of grading instruments.
- Develop processes to improve quality management efficiency at the silos.
- Provide training to silo employees on instrument use where required.
- Manage and develop laboratory personnel.
Requirements
- A relevant post-matric qualification.
- An FSSC 22000 Food Safety Management System certificate will be advantageous.
- 2–5 years’ experience in a grain quality and food safety environment.
