The KwaZulu-Natal Sharks Board Maritime Centre of Excellence (KZNSB) is mandated to be a global leader in bather protection against shark while minimising environmental impact, thus promoting tourism. The KwaZulu-Natal coastline is the only coastline with 37 beaches equipped with bather safety gear owned and maintained by the KwaZulu-Natal Sharks Board Maritime Centre of Excellence in South Africa.

The KwaZulu-Natal Sharks Board (KZNSB) is offering an exciting internship programme for unemployed graduates eager to gain hands-on experience in their fields. This one-year internship provides valuable industry exposure while offering a stipend of R7000 per month. The programme is available in several fields including Information Technology, Business Administration, Finance, Supply Chain, Marine Biology, and Environmental Science.

Internship Details:

  • Duration: 12 months
  • Stipend: R7000 per month
  • Closing Date: March 14, 2025

This opportunity is designed to help graduates gain real-world experience, build their professional networks, and increase their employability. Successful candidates will be placed in different departments across the organization.

Available Internship Positions & Qualifications:

  1. Corporate Services
    • ICT (1 Position) – Reference No: IT0325
      Qualification: Bachelor’s Degree or National Diploma in Information Technology, Information Systems, or related fields.
    • Administration (1 Position) – Reference No: CS0325
      Qualification: Bachelor’s Degree or National Diploma in Office Management, Business Management, Administration, or Business Administration.
  2. Finance
    • Finance (1 Position) – Reference No: FIN0325
      Qualification: Bachelor’s Degree or National Diploma in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or related fields.
    • Supply Chain Management (1 Position) – Reference No: SCM0325
      Qualification: Bachelor’s Degree or National Diploma in Financial Accounting, Cost & Management Accounting, or Financial Management.
  3. Research
    • Research (1 Position) – Reference No: RES0325
      Qualification: Bachelor’s Degree or National Diploma in Marine Biology, Environmental Science, or Zoology.
