African Marine Solutions (AMSOL) is a specialist solutions provider and partner to clients who operate in marine environments.
After graduation, bursary recipients may be required to take up employment with AMSOL, depending on operational requirements.
Fields of Study Covered
Bursaries will be awarded for the following qualifications:
- Bachelor of Marine Engineering
- Bachelor of Nautical Science
- Officer in Charge of a Navigational Watch (Deck Officer)
What the AMSOL Bursary Covers
The bursary provides coverage for tuition fees (minimum).
Depending on availability of funds and student circumstances, it may also cover:
- Textbooks
- Accommodation in residence
📌 Note: Students are required to pay their own registration fees.
Eligibility Requirements
Applicants must meet the following minimum criteria:
- Must be a South African citizen.
- Must have completed Matric or currently be in Matric (2025).
- Minimum of 60% (Level 5) in:
- English
- Mathematics
- Physical Science
- Must be studying or intend to study one of the listed qualifications in 2026.
- Must study at a recognised and accredited university or SAMSA-accredited training facility.
- Must not be in receipt of any other bursary funding for the 2026 academic year (unbonded).
