The Artisan Bridge Learner Programme provides qualified artisans with structured training and practical exposure on Sandvik products for a period of 12 months. Participants will gain hands-on experience in mining equipment rebuilds, repairs, and maintenance, helping them become more competitive within the mining industry.
Key Responsibilities
As an Artisan Bridge Learner, you will:
- Attend and perform work as directed within the scope of the training plan.
- Work toward achieving the required competencies and product knowledge.
- Maintain professionalism and comply with all workplace standards.
- Follow lawful instructions and workplace policies diligently.
- Keep accurate training records and produce them when required.
- Participate in on-the-job and formal training assessments.
- Adhere to all safety regulations and operational procedures.
Profile Requirements
To qualify for the Artisan Bridge Learner Programme, applicants must have:
- Grade 12 (Matric) with Mathematics and Science (or equivalent qualification).
- Minimum N2 Engineering Studies (compulsory).
- Qualified Millwright or Electrician (Section 13 Trade Certificate / Section 26D Trade Certificate).
- Proof of competency: POE, proof of modules, or apprenticeship record.
- Physically and medically fit to work in a mining environment.
- Must meet all customer vaccination requirements (attach vaccination certificate).
Preference will be given to candidates residing in the following areas:
Secunda, Ogies, Middelburg, Ulundi, Witbank, Delmas, Piet Retief, Burgersfort, Lydenburg, Springbok, Kathu, and Lime Acres.
